About Veteran Life Plan
Founded by a career Army veteran to give military families clear, honest guidance about life insurance, with no pressure.

Why Veteran Life Plan Was Founded
Veteran Life Plan was founded by a career soldier who served more than two decades in the U.S. Army, with combat deployments and a series of leadership roles along the way.
As retirement got closer, the search for what came next led to a meeting with a financial advisor. The surprise was not a product. It was how much useful financial knowledge could be learned in a single sitting, and how few people ever get that chance. That gap became the mission. The licenses came before the uniform came off, and the move into financial services started right away.
Going through the transition process made the problem clear. The briefings move fast, and they point service members toward VGLI and the Survivor Benefit Plan as the default. With a finance background and the numbers in hand, the answer was plain: VGLI is not as cheap as it looks once you age, and it is not the right fit for everyone.
Since leaving the Army, the work has been sitting down with veterans and their families, and the same pattern shows up again and again. People are not taken advantage of because they are veterans. It happens because the education never reaches them. Without it, families end up with the wrong product, or with too little coverage. Many are underinsured, because the $500,000 cap on military coverage often falls short of replacing a breadwinner's income.

What we believe
Education changes the outcome. For most families, the better path is lower-cost level term while you invest the difference, so that by the time the term ends you have built enough savings to be self-insured. You carry life insurance while you are building. Once your family is provided for, you no longer need it. This is general education, not investment advice, and many veterans simply never get shown the math.
